Nanyang Xiaoxiang Wedding Banquet Center Lighting Project

Nanyang Xiaoxiang Wedding Banquet Center Lighting Project

Xingbo delivered a flicker-free wedding banquet lighting solution with high-CRI front light, dynamic effects, fast scene control, and reliable operation.

Case Details

The Xiaoxiang Wedding Banquet Center in Nanyang, Henan, required a lighting system that could deliver three results at the same time: a strong ceremonial atmosphere, an elegant visual style, and professional camera performance.

The venue features an eight-meter-high, column-free banquet hall with circular crystal chandeliers. Although this open structure creates a grand sense of space, it also makes lighting coverage, beam control, and visual balance more demanding.

Xingbo developed a coordinated wedding lighting solution for the hall. The system combines high-CRI front lighting, RGBW wash fixtures, beam effects, multifunction moving heads, follow-spots, and intelligent control. As a result, the venue can move smoothly from guest arrival to the ceremony, banquet, and evening celebration.

Project Lighting Requirements

Wedding events include many scenes within a short period. Morning preparation needs soft and natural light. The entrance ceremony requires strong visual focus. The banquet calls for a warm and comfortable setting, while performances need color, movement, and energy.

The project therefore focused on five operating goals:

  • Fast lighting changes between wedding stages

  • Accurate color temperature for people and decoration

  • Flicker-free output for cameras and video equipment

  • Controlled beams within the column-free hall

  • Stable operation during events lasting up to 12 hours

Xingbo treated these goals as one complete system rather than selecting each fixture separately. This made it possible to coordinate front light, color wash, moving effects, follow-spots, and programmed cues.

Equipment Configuration

Equipment Quantity Main Role
4-light LED blinders 20 units High-CRI front lighting and adjustable white light
10W 18-LED wash lights 10 units RGBW color wash and ceiling effects
380W beam lights 6 units Entrance corridors and dynamic aerial effects
300W 3-in-1 moving head lights 6 units Beam, wash, and wedding gobo effects
200W follow-spots 2 units Manual tracking of the couple and key guests

The fixtures work through a coordinated professional stage lighting system. This enables the operator to prepare scenes based on the wedding schedule and recall them at the correct moment.

High-CRI Front Lighting for Photography

Twenty 4-light LED blinders form the main front-lighting layer. Their adjustable color temperature ranges from 3200K to 8500K, allowing the output to suit different parts of the event.

Warmer light can be used during the banquet to create a welcoming atmosphere. Meanwhile, neutral or cooler white light can support preparation scenes, speeches, and formal photography.

A CRI of at least 95 helps reproduce skin tones, wedding dresses, flowers, and interior finishes more naturally. This is especially important because photographers and video teams often work from several positions around the hall.

The fixtures also feature intelligent temperature control. Therefore, they can maintain stable output during events lasting up to 12 hours without frequent pauses or manual adjustment.

RGBW Wash Lighting for the Banquet Hall

Ten wash lights, each fitted with eighteen 10W LEDs, provide color coverage across the hall. The RGBW color system produces both saturated tones and softer pastel shades.

Because the venue includes circular crystal chandeliers, the wash lights can also create a starry-sky effect across the ceiling. This adds visual depth without covering the original decoration.

The 25-degree beam angle helps keep the light within the intended area. As a result, unwanted spill onto tables, screens, or photography positions is reduced.

DMX and RDM compatibility provides central control and remote device management. The RDM function helps technicians check fixture status and settings without reaching every installation point, which is valuable in an eight-meter-high hall.

Beam Lighting for Wedding Entrances

Six 380W beam lights create the main dynamic effects. Their ultra-narrow beam can be adjusted from 0 to 2 degrees, making them suitable for light corridors, entrance moments, and overhead effects.

The fixtures include stacked 8-facet and 24-facet prisms. These prisms split a single beam into layered patterns, which makes the hall appear deeper and more spacious.

A 540-degree pan range allows light to reach different points across the column-free venue. During an entrance, several fixtures can form a symmetrical corridor. Later, they can move toward the stage or ceiling to support music and celebration scenes.

Because the beams are precisely controlled, they add impact without overwhelming the front lighting used for photography.

3-in-1 Moving Heads for Flexible Scenes

Six 300W 3-in-1 moving head lights provide beam, wash, and gobo functions in one fixture. This reduces the number of separate units needed while giving the operator more creative options.

The fixtures can change between modes through programmed cues. Beam mode adds strong visual lines. Wash mode provides broader color coverage. Gobo mode projects patterns onto the stage, aisle, ceiling, or rear wall.

Nine custom wedding-themed gobos are included. These patterns can support floral themes, decorative shapes, and the couple’s logo. Therefore, the lighting can become part of the venue’s personalized wedding service.

A soft-light function also creates a gentle contour around the couple. This improves visual focus while maintaining a flattering look for photography.

Follow-Spots for Key Wedding Moments

Two 200W follow-spots are used to highlight the couple during entrances, vows, speeches, and stage interaction.

Their 23-degree focus angle provides a defined lighting area while allowing the operator to follow movement. A four-color filter wheel helps the follow-spot match white wedding gowns, traditional clothing, formal suits, and different stage colors.

Each unit uses a dual-fan cooling system for stable long-term operation. This is important because follow-spots may remain active through several key sections of the wedding program.

By keeping the couple clearly separated from the background, the follow-spots improve both audience attention and camera composition.

Flicker-Free Control and Rapid Scene Changes

The lighting program follows the event timeline. Preset scenes can be prepared for guest entry, the couple’s entrance, vows, ring exchange, speeches, performances, banquet service, and the final celebration.

A professional lighting control console allows operators to recall these scenes quickly. Therefore, lighting changes remain synchronized with music, video, and ceremony cues.

DMX and RDM control also simplify system management. Where several signal branches are required, DMX signal distribution equipment can help maintain clean and stable data transmission.

The system was configured to support flicker-free photography and videography. This helps reduce visible banding or unstable brightness in recorded content.

Safety, Testing, and Maintenance

The fixtures have an IP20 rating and are intended for protected indoor use. The supplied technical file lists test documentation associated with CNAS, CMA, and ILAC-MRA-recognized frameworks. Final compliance should be confirmed against the reports supplied with each project order.

RDM support also reduces routine maintenance work. Technicians can remotely review addresses, operating status, and selected fixture data. This lowers the need for frequent access to high installation points.

In addition, intelligent cooling and organized control help the system remain stable during long wedding programs.

Measurable Project Results

According to client feedback, the completed system addressed the venue’s three main requirements.

Lighting cues now follow the wedding process more smoothly. The photography team can work without concern about visible flicker, while the adjustable color temperature improves skin tones and clothing detail.

The client also reported a 40% reduction in annual lighting energy use. This result reflects the move to LED fixtures and more precise scene control, although actual savings may vary with operating hours and scene settings.
